I felt in love with picture made by Olivier Zahn because of the retro tonality. It's 2010 and you can look at the picture and put it in the '50 or '60 very easily. The girl with the pants has such a simple, retro yet elegant look that makes me wonder: are we turning back by looks at the golden age of fashion?

We have one more argument in the debate: Does Lady Gaga influence the fashion world? Well, recently non other than Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by Gaga's look for his 2010 haute couture collection.
The designer said he was inspired by the singer's gigantic hair bow she wore at the launch of VEVO in December.

Sponge Bob Squarepants by Karl Lagerfeld

After the KL bear and the KL mouse, Lagerfeld created in his own image Bikini Bottom's very own A-list celebrity, Spongebob Squarepants.

The Chanel creative director was one of a number of famous faces in France invited to give their take on the much-loved cartoon character for an auction in aid of the WWF. Lagerfeld's lot - again styled in his own image in dark sunglasses, white shirt, black tie and fingerless gloves - turned out to be the star attraction at the auction in Paris, raising €1,000 for the cause.

Spongebob Squarepants is fast becoming quite the fashion darling, and has already featured as a tattoo on fashion design legend Marc Jacobs and lent his image to a range of fine jewellery designed by Russell Simmons.
