The Chanel creative director was one of a number of famous faces in France invited to give their take on the much-loved cartoon character for an auction in aid of the WWF. Lagerfeld's lot - again styled in his own image in dark sunglasses, white shirt, black tie and fingerless gloves - turned out to be the star attraction at the auction in Paris, raising €1,000 for the cause.
Spongebob Squarepants is fast becoming quite the fashion darling, and has already featured as a tattoo on fashion design legend Marc Jacobs and lent his image to a range of fine jewellery designed by Russell Simmons.
